Timestamp planning without timeline drift
Timestamp notation is easy to misread when hours are optional. This planner accepts seconds, MM:SS, or HH:MM:SS and normalizes the range. It rejects an end before the start and an end beyond the declared source duration.
Frames are a planning aid
The frame count is duration multiplied by the selected timeline rate. Actual source media can use a different or variable frame rate, so use the result for rough edit planning rather than frame-accurate conforming.
Cut points and keyframes
A fast lossless cut may snap to a nearby keyframe. Exact cuts usually require decoding and re-encoding around the boundary. That distinction explains why two tools can produce slightly different starts from the same timestamp.
