Creator lab
Plan the file before you make it
Four practical tools for decisions that usually happen before export: size, duration, compatibility, and permission.
Video file size calculator
Estimate video file size from duration, video bitrate, and audio bitrate, with per-minute storage and transfer-time calculations.
Video clip planner
Plan a video clip with start and end timestamps, exact duration, source percentage, and frame counts for 24, 30, or 60 fps timelines.
Format compatibility guide
Compare MP4, WebM, MKV, MP3, WAV, and FLAC for browsers, phones, editing, archiving, quality, and file size.
Download rights checklist
A practical pre-download checklist for creator-owned, licensed, public-domain, and permission-based media use. Not legal advice.
Why these decisions belong before export
A video workflow gets expensive when size, duration, and compatibility are discovered at the end. A ten-minute export at 20 Mbps is roughly four times the size of the same duration at 5 Mbps. A container can be technically valid and still be awkward on the device that needs to open it. A thirty-second clip can become 900 frames at 30 fps, which matters when timing text or transitions.
The Creator Lab keeps those decisions independent from downloading. Nothing entered into these tools is sent to the server; calculations run in the browser. The formulas are visible, the assumptions are named, and each page links to the documentation used for its technical guidance.
